That’s what the Rear Range Light is offering in Newburyport, Massachusetts. For $350, you get an all you can eat gourmet dinner and the lighthouse for the entire evening.

The dinner is catered by Ten Center Street in Newburyport. You can order anything you want off the menu and as much as you like. However, they do not serve any alcoholic beverages. Fortunately, you can bring your own.

Half the money goes to the preservation efforts of restoring the Rear Range Light as well as the Front Range Light – also in Newburyport.

The Rear Range Light stands 53 feet tall and was established in 1873 and deactivated in 1961.

The Front Range Light in Newburyport, Massachusetts is located behind the Rear Range Light.

The lighthouse is on Coast Guard property so you cannot walk right up to it. You can get a good view of it through the chain link fence surrounding it.

The Front Range Light is 15 feet tall. It was established in 1873 and deactivated in 1961.

This is the Hospital Point Light in Beverly, Massachusetts. This doesn’t look much like a lighthouse, but on the top you can see the light. The actual light tower is on the other side of this picture. The building was, at one time, a smallpox hospital. It was decided it was a good place for a lighthouse and the light was added near the structure.

To get to the lighthouse take Route 127 in Beverly (also know as Hale St.), turn onto East Corning Street until it intersects with Neptune Street. East Corning Street turns into Bayview Ave (a dead end) go to the end and there is a viewing spot there.

The lighthouse was established in 1872 and automated in 1947. The lighthouse stands 45 feet high.

As of 2009, the Coast Guard has been allowing more tours of the lighthouse. It is usually open for tours during Beverly Homecoming Week in late July or early August.
