June 7 is National Chocolate Ice Cream Day! I love chocolate ice cream. My favorite is “Death by Chocolate” which you can get at Friendly’s restaurants – at least you used to be able to get it there. Here’s a recipe for some easy to make chocolate ice cream for you to try out:
Ingredients:
- 5 tablespoons of cocoa
- 1 can (large) condensed milk
- 1 cup milk
Method:
- Mix the milks together.
- Dissolve the cocoa in a small amount of hot water then stir it into the milks.
- Put the entire mixture into your ice cream freezer and follow the directions for your particular ice cream freezer.
Add ins:
- Chocolate covered pretzels
- peanuts
- marshmallows
- M&Ms
- chocolate chips
- broken cookies
