Florida Toe Nails Design

Florida Toes Nail Art

This is how I painted my toe nails for a trip to Florida. I wanted to be sure they would match the different pairs of sandals I was going wear over the weekend.

Supplies
Natural Glow Super Shine Purple Sage Creme (79)
Petites by Scherer Purely Pearl (77)
Silver Striping Tape
Advanced Hard as Nails Strengthening Topcoat by Sally Hansen

Step 1
Apply three coats of Purple Sage Creme. After you finish applying the first coat the first toes should be dry enough to start applying the second coat.

Step 2
Apply two coats of Purely Pearl along the top of each toe nail as if you are doing a French manicure, but on your toes. You can make the white stripe a little thicker than a normal French tip.

Step 3
Apply silver striping tape just below each white tip. Then apply two coats of Advanced Hard as Nails Strengthening Topcoat. Generally, I apply a coat of clear topcoat every couple of days. This helps to keep the striping tape from lifting up.

Pink Lady Yacht

Millionaire Harbor Cruise

Michael and I took a harbor cruise from the Bayside Marketplace in Miami.  There are several companies that operate out of this area.  We took a cruise with Island Queen Cruises.  We took the “Millionaire Tour” on the Pink Lady.  On this tour you cruise around several islands and get to gawk at the massive homes celebrities own on the harbor.

We decided to stay inside the yacht since the weather wasn’t all that great – looked like it might rain and it was getting cool since it was late afternoon.

Inside the yacht, they had those plastic lawn chairs for us to sit on.  You could move them around if you needed to.  Unfortunately, those chairs do get a little uncomfortable if you sit in them long enough.

Container Ship

Container Ship

The first thing we saw on our cruise was a couple of container ships.  You don’t realize how large these ships are until you see them in real life.  I pasted two photos of this ship together so you could see the whole thing.

Freedom of the Seas Cruise Ship

Freedom of the Seas Cruise Ship

I thought the container ship was large until I saw the largest cruise ship in the world, the Freedom of The Seas!  We were fortunate to see this ship pulling out of the harbor as it set out on a cruise.  This ship is absolutely massive.  It’s longer than a football field.  The people waving to us looked really tiny!  LOL  Roval Caribbean Cruise Line operates the Freedom of the Seas.

Miami Skyline

Miami Skyline

Before we headed over to one of the islands in Miami harbor, we got a really nice view of the Miami skyline.  I was taking all my pictures from inside the yacht and it was getting dark.  You can get an idea of the skyline in this photo – even though it’s a bit shakey.

El Fureidis Estate

El Fureidis Estate

The cruise gave us a good look at a lot of celebrities homes such as Shaq, Rosie O’Donnell, Dr. Phil, Versace.  One of the more famous houses is the El Fureidis Estate better know as the Scarface House.  This is the home of Tony Montana from the movie “Scarface”.

Michael and I really enjoyed the tour.  The tour guides were very knowledgeable about the homes.  I’d like to take this tour again during the day – on a sunny day – so I can get some better pictures.
