I love my slow cooker! It makes getting dinner so easy. One of my favorite recipes is Salsa Chicken. Here is my recipe:
Ingredients:
1 14 ounce(ish) Jar of Salsa
3 to 4 pounds of Chicken pieces (legs, thighs, wings, breast)
Method:
1. Place the chicken pieces in your slow cooker.
2. Pour the entire jar of salsa over the chicken.
3. Turn on your slow cooker. Chicken will be done in 4 to 5 hours on low or 3 hours on high.
To Serve:
Serve the chicken on top of rice (white or brown). I like to take some of the salsa sauce from the slow cooker and pout it over the chicken and rice. All you need is a salad to round out the meal!
When cooking in my slow cooker I like to use a slow cooker liner. They make clean up super fast and easy. You can find slow cooker liners at Amazon.com.
That looks delicious and SIMPLE. I like simple. What kind of salsa did you use?
I use any brand of salsa – usually what ever is on sale. As for the heat, I use medium salsa. If I wasn’t making it for my family and just my husband I would choose the hottest one I could find. He’s Nigerian and likes really spicy food.
