Yarn Donations

I sent all the donated yarn (except for the yarn for the Eyes Blanket) to my friend Denise in NYC who also makes blankets and donates them. I'm in the process of getting married and moving. Denise said she would use the yarn and donate the items she makes.

It will be a while before I can accept any donated yarn.

Last week - yes, I’m a bit behind, I received some more yarn and some knitting needles, too! I took a picture of the yarn. This yarn came from Maureen in NY.

My daughter, Elizabeth, said she might be interested in learning how to knit. We’ll see how that goes.

When I came up with this idea I really didn’t think I’d get any yarn - ok maybe a little bit of yarn. Yesterday, I received a box sent via UPS from NYC! There’s some really soft pink yarn I absolutely love! I’ve put up a picture of the yarn, of course.

I received more yarn yesterday. OK, I actually saw it today. I’ve put up a picture of the yarn. This came from another coworker of my husband’s.

A lady named Joyce at my husband’s work donated a large bag of yarn. As you can see there is quite a bit of yarn there - mostly acrylic with some wool and a skein of white cotton. Quite a bit of varigated yarn which will make some nice blankets for a couple of children.
