Since I’m not using my salt shaker anymore, I need something to replace it. I mean c’mon, potatoes without salt? Heresy! I was at my local supermarket yesterday and picked up Mrs. Dash Table Blend. It’s a combination of various spices and it’s salt free. It cost about $2.49 - way more expensive than salt! LOL Really, I’m just complaining because I can.
So, last night I put some on my potatoes. This stuff isn’t half bad. Yeah, it’s not salt - but I can live with this.
My friend, Jill, suggested I get another bottle of Mrs. Dash to keep in my purse for when I go out to eat. Good idea Jill!
You can find Mrs. Dash in the aisle with the spices and baking stuff like cakes mixes, flour, sugar, etc. Mrs. Dash has other spice combinations, like spicy, that I will probably try out as well.

Yes, Mrs Dash is a lifesaver. I also think experimenting with other spices is a fun idea: rosemary, dill, paprika, different kinds of pepper (white pepper, cracked pepper), garlic, Tabasco sauce (the green version is not hot and has a real mellow taste), fennel and cumin. Those are all neat tastes.
